The scarce first edition. Issue number seven from November 1888. In the original pictorial paper wrappers. With numerous monochrome vignette illustrations and ten full page engraved plates. Collated complete. A literary anthology, this issue comprising of numerous articles regarding society and politics. With titles such as 'The Progress of Woman' and 'The Last Word on Political Economy'. From writers such as Lucas Malet, Edward Garnett and Walter Wren. With numerous advertisements to the front and rear of the publication.

Condition

In the original pictorial paper wraps. Externally, smart with some shelf wear to the edges and darkening to the spine. Some tears to the spine. Internally, binding weak. Pages between 291 to 302 are loose. Pages very bright and clean with a few odd marks.
