First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first edition of the work. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. ‘Unconditional Surrender’ is Waugh’s third novel in his ‘Sword of Honour’ series, which loosely follow his own experiences during World War Two. Evelyn Waugh was a noted English author of the twentieth century, best known for his novel ‘Brideshead Revisited’ and ‘A Handful of Dust’.

Condition

In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally in lovely condition. Dust wrapper is in excellent condition with minor shelf wear and the odd mark to the rear of the wrap. Slight sunning to spine as is common with this work. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Contemporary ink inscription to front free endpaper. Light spot to fore edge.
