What Our Customers Say...
Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
Collated, complete with numerous maps, black and white and colour plates, and a two page map. The original dustwrapper was designed by Frank Francis. Hammond Innes was predominantly known for his fictional novels, yet his love of the sea and his experience as a skilful yachtsmen led him to write this non-fiction text about his travels on his ocean-going yacht, 'Mary Deare'. Whilst the first half of the text is centered on his 'beautiful and venturesome journeys' exploring the sea and islands of Europe, the second half of the text records his travels to and in a variety of locations around the world, such as the Western Isles, Nova Scotia, and Yugoslavia.
