First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
Juhan Smuul was an Estonian writer, best known for the several works he based on his native island. However, also authored several travelogues, of which this work is the most famous. This work was translated from the Russian by David Skvirsky. Complete with scarce original price-clipped dustwrapper. This copy is copiously illustrated throughout with numerous black and white illustrations.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, slightly bumped to extremities of head and tail of spine. Slight fading to spine. Dustwrapper slightly bumped and chipped to extremities. Small loss to tail of spine of wrap, with slight chipping and lifting to gutter. Small closed tears to head of joints of wrap. Slight rubbing to joints. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned to extremities, but very bright and clean throughout.
