'The Cruise of the Cachalot' is a semi-autobiographical travel narrative. It depicts a Whaling expedition from a seaman's perspective and is responsible for making Frank Bullen's reputation as an author.
In a fine calf binding, made for Blundell's school, Tiverton. With the crest of the school to the front board. Bookplate to the front pastedown, addressed to R H R Gage for Form Work.
With a frontispiece, folding map and a further seven plates.
Condition
In a full calf binding. Externally, in an excellent condition with only some minor shelf-wear to the rear board. Bookplate to the front pastedown from Blundell's School, Tiverton. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the occasional light spots to pages.
