What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Folding Maps, Folding Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

Adapted from the earlier German work by Lankenau and Oelnitz, 'Russia, Past and Present' deals with both a great many facets of Russia's pre-Revolutionary society and history, arranged in both geographical and chronological sections. Contains a frontispiece plate and fold-out colour map to the rear.

Condition

In decorative cloth binding with gilt detailing. Externally sound, there is wear to the extremities, joints and backstrip, with cracking to joints and tenderness to hinges, which have resulted in the loss of the dustcover to the frontispiece plate. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are bright and clean, asiden from some ink inscriptions and stamps to the title page
