'Sweet Thames Run Softly', published in 1942, not the first edition, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Illustrated with a frontispiece, and many in-text engravings.
'Till I End My Song', published in 1957, the first edition of this work, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and many in-text engravings.
Written and illustrated by Robert Gibbings. Gibbings was an Irish author and artist, one of the founding members of the Society of Wood Engravers.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few spots to the fore edges. Light edgewear to the dustwrappers, heavier to 'Sweet Thames', with some chips to the head and tail of the spine. Light sunning to the spines. A few minor marks and spots to the wraps, heavier to 'Sweet Thames'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with just a couple of odd spots.
