A first edition copy, held in the original price-clipped dustwrapper. Written by F. M. Bourret. A survey of the British colonies in West Africa, specifically the Gold Coast and British Togoland, between the years 1919 and 1946. To quote from the blurb this work is described as follows: 'This is the first general survey of one of the richest and more promising of all the African colonies'. An interesting look into the history into British colonial rule in the continent of Africa.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, and held in the price-clipped dustwrapper. Externally smart, with minor shelfwear. Light offsetting to the front and rear endpapers. Label to the head of the rear pastedown to the head. The dustwrapper is bumped to the head and tail of the spine, with a small amount of loss to the head. Small tears to the front and rear joints, to the head. Light patches of rubbing the joints, and extremities, heaviest to the spine. Small tide mark to the spine. Small tears to the front and rear flyleafs, to both the head and tail, no more than 1cm. Light offsetting internal to the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
