    Description

    Folding Maps, Illustrated, Leather Binding

    Complete in two volumes. Illustrated throughout with numerous engravings on wood and coloured maps and plates. A fascinating overview of the world in the second half of the 19th century.

    Condition

    In a half calf binding. Externally, rubbed with bumping to extremities. Some sunning to boards and spine. Joints starting. Hinges strained with front hinge to volume I tender and front endpaper and blank detached but present. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean with patches of spotting and occasional tidemarks. Creasing to pages of Volume II.
