Description
Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding
Written by Charles Colock Jones Jr. a Georgia politician and attorney. He wrote several notable works on the history of Georgia and the native people. Collated, complete with all thirty plates. This work discusses the culture of the 'Indians' such as their marriage, divorce, music, graves, weapons etc. He also describes the locations of several tribes. This work is an interesting insight into how some of the colonisers of the late nineteenth century regarded the native people of America.
