'A Journey to Ashango-Land' is du Chaillu's first hand account of his time in Ashango Land and Equatorial Africa.

Whilst du Chaillu was researching this book, he was elected the King of the Apingi tribe.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, vignette title page, one folding map, and twenty-one plates.

Collated, complete.

Written by Paul du Chaillu, a French-American traveller.

Two pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few minor marks to the boards, with a heavier mark to the tail of the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Prior owner's ink inscription to the title page.
