    Illustrated with a frontispiece, a folding map, and three plates.

    John William Colenso's insightful travel work about ten weeks that he spent travelling around Natal.

    Colenso was a Cornish mathematician, and a defender of the Zulu.

    Collated, complete.

    Sixteen pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

    Condition

    In the original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. A few light marks to the boards and spine. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Some minor spots to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with a few light spots. Folding map is a little wrinkled, with a small clear tape repair.
