Bookplate of L. K. Elmhirst to the front pastedown. Leonard Knight Elmhirst was a philanthropist and agronomist, who is known mostly for his work in India.

Condition

In a half calf binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing and marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, heavier to the head of the spine with some lifting. Hinges are starting but firm. Front endpaper is detaching. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Institutional stamp to the recto to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with some spots. Bound without three plates.
