This volume looks in detail at York, Lincoln, Peterborough, Canterbury, Rochester, Winchester, Hereford, Worcester, Gloucester, Coventry, Durham, Chichester, Salisbury, Wells, Bristol, Bath, Norwich, and London.

Written and illustrated by John Britton, the noted English antiquary and topographer. He is best known for his collaboration with Edward Wedlake Brayler on the nine volume series 'The Beauties of England and Wales'.

Condition

In a full morocco signed binding by W. Strong. Externally, generally smart, with some marks and discolouration to the boards and spine. A little rubbing to the joints. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with some spots.
