An exciting travel work documenting the author's voyage up the Red Sea, recounting his adventures along the coasts of Arabia and Egypt. One of the best first hand accounts of this part of Arabia at this period and still very readable today. The voyage was a series of misahps and all the more interesting for it.

Written by Eyles Irwin, an Irish poet. Irwin was born in India, however became a member of the Royal Irish Academy due to his Irish roots.

Rebound in a half morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, fine. Small mark to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with the odd spot. Ink mark to the margin of page 197. Mark to page 226.
