What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

First trade edition of the work, published the same year as a limited edition of two-thousand copies.

Bound in the publisher's original blue cloth, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper.

In 1924, Lawrence enlisted in the British Royal Air Force under the assumed name 3522087 Ross. This volume is comprised of his memoirs during that time, written in a diary he kept to record the lives of enlisted men. The book was left unpublished until after the author's death at his own wish, due to the people mentioned in the writings. Lawrence personality really comes through in this sparse prose, with sharp observations.

Edited by Lawrence's brother, A. W. Lawrence.
