Len Deighton is a British author known for his novels on espionage and military history. He has written a number of works on the Second World War, including this one, which has since been adapted into a 2017 television series.
This particular novel is set after the Second World War in an alternative future, where Germany won the war and Britain is now occupied. Set less than a year after the surrender of Britain, this novel follows the story of detective Douglas Archer as he investigates a curious murder.

In original publisher's cloth binding with unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, in excellent condition, with the odd small mark to boards. Dust wrapper in excellent condition, with sunning to the spine and to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
