A 1964 facsimile reprint of this work originally published in 1532. In the original German. Otto Brunfels was a German born botanist, who published numerous work of botany throughout the 16th century. A pioneer in the field he is often coined the 'father of botany' for his own personal observations of plants and herbs. With a receipt and letter from the publisher address to the customer, C. H. Spiers, each dated 1973. This work is in excellent condition and offers a real insight into this early scientific study.
Condition
In a quarter calf binding, with faux calf board. Externally smart with minor shelfwear, and a very small patch of loss to the rear board. Light marks to the front and rear pastedown and endpapers. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
