What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding

This work helped to establish Loudon as an expert in rural architecture.  Prior to this publication he had chiefly been known as a Garden designer, and was respected in the field of landscaping. He was the first to use the term arboretum and was a prolific writer on this subject. He designed many prominent locations such as the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, the Abbey Cemetery in Bath and Harewood House.

This architectural study looks at rural buildings such as the cottage, the villa, country inns, parochial schools, farm houses, offices, gardens and much more.
