'Nimrod' is the pseudonym for Charles James Apperley, a Welsh sportsman and sporting writer from an English family. Other works by Apperley include 'Nimrods German Tour' and 'The Chase, the Turf and the Road'. He also contributed regularly to important Sporting Magazines. This work looks at the condition of hunters, the effects of stable management conditions, treatment of hunters in the summer and further ailments that hunters can have. With the bookplate of one Oliver Collett to the front pastedown. A smart first edition of this work.

Condition

In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, generally smart with light rubbing to the joints and spine. A few marks to boards. Bookplate to the front pastedown, Oliver Collett. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright. A few light spots to the fore edge. Pages are otherwise clean.
