The first edition of this work. A concise chronological account of all the matches played by the Free Foresters Cricket Club, from their established in 1856 to 1895. The Club is an amateur cricket club for the Midlands of England. Illustrated with a frontispiece, forty-nine plates, and in-text illustrations. Written by William K. R. Bedford and William E. W. Collins. Bedford was the founder of the cricket team, being an ardent cricketer, as well as having a passion for archery. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Front hinge is starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper, 'H. G. S. Hughes, 1895'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
