'The Compleat Imbiber' was a series of anthologies on alcohol that was published from 1956 until the early 1970s.

The series is a history and study into alcohol, spanning from wines to spirits.

'The Compleat Imbiber 3', in the original unclipped dustwrapper, published in 1960, illustrated by Brian Keogh. Illustrated with in-text illustrations throughout. Contributors include Robin McDougall, Henry Cecil, John Douglas Pringle, and more.

'The Compleat Imbiber 5', in the original price-clipped dustwrapper, published in 1962, designed by Charles Hasler. Illustrated with a frontispiece, and many plates and in-text illustrations. Contributors include Raymond Postgate, Denzil Batchelor, Paul Dehn, and more.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original dustwrappers. Externally, smart. Some minor marks to the boards and spines. Dustwrappers with some minor edgewear, resulting in some small closed tears, and some minor marks to the wraps. Dustwrapper for 5 with some sunning to the spine, and tape marks to the reverse. Tape marks to the reverse of the dustwrapper of 7. Dustwrapper of 8 with a small tape repair to the head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Prior owner's ink inscription to the half-title of 7. Prior owner's ink inscription to the half-title of 8.
