What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

The author himself gives the best account of the work in the introduction: "No one who has the itch for book-collecting will deny that suppressed book illustrations are, what the forbidden fruit was to our mother Eve, irresistible." Complete here with vignettes and 34 leaves of plates. This copy is from the personal library of Walter Flinn, a notable British Economist. Complete with 34 plates.

Condition

In a green cloth binding, with gilt to the spine and top edge. Externally, very smart condition. Some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and just minor shelfwear only. There is foxing to the front and rear free end-papers. With the bookplate of Walter Flinn to the front pastedown, and some offsetting to the front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spotting.
