What Our Customers Say...
Illustrated, Leather Binding
With a bookplate for Derby Grammar School to both volumes, with their crest to the front boards.
Comprising Bentham's guide to British flora and W H Fitch and W G Smith's illustrated companion to Bentham's work. The illustrated companion is the seventh edition.
Both volumes are uniformly bound in a bright full calf binding.
Scarce to have both volumes together, and the illustrated companion is particularly uncommon.
Aimed at beginners, this informative guide provides descriptions of the flowering plants and ferns indigenous to and naturalised in the British Isles.
A very bright copy of this work, which has chapters on the different parts of the plant, classifications in botany, and extensive glossaries.
In full calf bindings. Externally, very smart. Light rubbing to the spine, which is common in this coloured leather. Small loss to the head of spine to the text volume. Bookplate to front pastedowns. Internally, both volumes are firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
