A detailed manual on the diseases common to dogs, and how to properly treat them.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, and many in-text illustrations.

Written by John Woodroffe Hill.

Bookplate to the front pastedown, 'Philip Lancaster Brocklehurst, Esq. Swythamley Park, Macclesfield'. Brocklehurst was created a baronet in 1903, and was the father of Sir Philip Lee Brocklehurst, who was a member of the Nimrod Expedition in Antarctia in 1907 to 1909. Four handwritten letters loosely inserted, to and from Brocklehurst. 

Thirty-two pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Some minor marks to the boards and spine. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Hinges are a little strained but remain firm. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some spots.
