Illustrated throughout.

The title page is damaged, with a facsimile bound in. Facsimile of pages vi - x are also tipped in. The preliminary section of this work discusses Kitchen utensils, spices and herbs, table arrangements, and kitchen fires. 

There are recipes for Beef, Veal, Mutton, Poultry, Fish and Dessert.

Condition

In a quarter calf binding, with cloth covered boards. Externally, rubbed to the spine. Title page is damaged with large loss, and has been tipped in. Facsimile title page, and pages vi-x. Internally, generally firmly bound though strained in places. Pages are bright. Occasional light spots and marks to pages. Remnants of prior tape repairs to the gutters. A well-loved copy of this important cookery book.
