Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce work. An interesting look at recording instruments that were frequently in use during the beginning of the twentieth century. Reprinted from a series of articles originally published in 'The Mechanical Engineer'. 'The Mechanical Engineer' was edited by William Henry Fowler. Profusely illustrated throughout. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper, 'To T. R. G. Parker Esq Linotype machinery, from T. H. Faux .... Broadleath, April 1919'.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Some discolouration to the tail of the front board. A little rubbing to the spine. A couple of light marks to the boards. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with only the very odd spot.
