With an extensive bibliography at the start of the work. The main body of the work explores all species and subspecies of birds in the western palaearctic region. To each entry Molineux provides a list of the countries that the birds are found, including the regions, and their passages To the rear is an Index of ornithologists names, as well as the Latin and English names of the species of birds.

Condition
In a half morocco binding, with paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with just some light rubbing to the spine. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Occasional pencil annotation to margins. Just the odd spot to pages.
