The first edition of this work. An interesting work looking at the spas with mineral water in Europe. The waters were used for hydrotherapy, using the waters to cure diseases and ailments. This work provides information on the spas in Europe. Written by Hermann David Weber, a German physician. He studied and practiced medicine in England, and conducted pioneering work on the open-air treatment of consumption, for which Weber was knighted. Also written by Frederick Parkes Weber, the son of Hermann. Frederick was a dermatologist who contributed many articles to medical publications over a period of fifty years.

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Minor rubbing to the head and tail of the spine. Light bumping to the extremities. A couple of light marks to the boards. Closed tear to the rear endpaper. Evidence of lacking the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean.
