What Our Customers Say...
First Edition, Folding Maps, Illustrated, Scarce
From the library of the Institution of Mining Engineers in London. With their bookplate to the front pastedown, and their stamp to the recto of front endpaper and to the title page. Illustrated, with fifteen folding plates, four photographic plates, two large folding maps, and a folding table. Collated, complete. An informative work, which explains the council of the institute, their constitution and rules, members and students, before giving accounts of several meetings by the New Zealand Institute of Mining Engineers.
In a full cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with patches of rubbing to the boards. Front hinge is slightly strained but firm. Library plate to the front pastedown, with institutional stamps to the preliminary pages and to the verso of plates. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Large maps have minor chips to the extremities. Closed tear to the gutter of the two maps. One of the maps is detached but present. Just the odd spot to pages.
