With a folding plate to the frontispiece, and fifteen plates. Written by the Rev. J. Joyce, who also wrote 'Scientific Dialogues'. With a bookplate to the front pastedown, 'La Vie Durnat, John Cornwall'. This is probably John Wolfran Cornwall, born 1870, born into an impressive naval lineage. Collated, complete.
Condition
Rebacked in a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards, with the original boards laid on. Externally, smart, though with some rubbing to the boards. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with the odd spot.
