Early Edition, Fine Binding, Illustrated

Beautifully illustrated, with a frontispiece and twelve plates. 

In a fine binding for the Mill Hill School, with their crest to the front and rear boards. 

Mary Ward was a strong advocate for education of the poor, and was the founding president of the Women's National Anti-Suffrage League. 

Bookplate to the front pastedown, 'New Foundation Day 1885' addressed to Frank H Nimmo. 

The fourth edition of this informative work on astronomy.

Condition

In a full calf binding. Externally, very smart with minor rubbing to the joints and extremities. Light patches of rubbing to the spine. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Scattered spots to the endpapers. The odd spot to pages.
