This copy also contains information regarding the management of other farm animals, such as dogs, cattle, sheep, pigs, and poultry, and additional information regarding farming, gardening, shooting, and angling. In a half polished calf binding with attractive marbled paper boards, endpapers and textblock. Collated, complete with over one hundred engraved plates from drawings by notable artists such as E. Landseer, A. Cooper, and many more. These illustrations not only depict attractive sporting scenes, but also show the anatomy of the horse, and pictorial representations of the process of shoeing the animal. This copy is undated, with no copies listed on Copac.

Condition

In a half polished calf binding with marbled paper boards. Externally, lovely. Slight fading to spines. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned but clean throughout, with the odd spot. The odd faint scattered spot to first and last few pages. Tide mark to upper and lower fore edge of frontispiece, pictorial title page and title page. Faint ink mark to fore edge of frontispiece, pictorial title page and title page. The odd handling mark to the occasional page. Faint ink mark to fore edge of the occasional page, not affecting text or images. Small mark to lower extremity of page vii, offset to facing page. Small hole to lower extremity of page vi.
