    First Edition, Leather Binding, Very Scarce

    One page of publisher's adverts to the rear.

    Stamp to the recto to the front endpaper.

    Condition

    In a half calf binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with some marks to the boards and spine. Light discolouration to the boards. Some loss to the cloth, heavier to the rear board. Small traces of worming to the boards. Stamp to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned and clean, with a few handling marks to the first and last few pages. Loss to the head of the title page, affecting one word of text from the title. Prior owner's ink inscription to the head of the title page. Small repair to the last leaf, not affecting text.
