Three chapters reprinted from Babbage's 'The Economy of Machinery and Manufactures'. This was published as a supplement to the first two editions of 'The Economy of Machinery and Manufactures'.

Collated, complete. Collated from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library.

An interesting study on the changing world during the Industrial Revolution, and it's effects on human labour and the economy of currency.

'The Economy of Machinery and Manufactures' was Babbage's researching work on the organisation of industrial production.

Babbage was an English mathematician, best known today for his work with Ada Lovelace on the Difference and Analytical Engines.

Condition

Rebound in paper wraps. Externally, smart. Tear to the head of the front wrap, the title page, and to the first three leaves. A couple of light marks to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with just a couple of light handling marks and spots.
