First Edition published by J M Dent on the 10th October 1929. With a frontispiece by the book illustrator E J Sullivan, who worked mainly in the traditional British style, with some aspects of Art Nouveau. The author, Ardaser Sorabjee N Wadia was the Professor of English and History at Elphinstone College, Bombay (Mumbai). Acquired from a sale of the publisher J.M Dent's reference library, with this work being a 'File Copy'. With a 'File Copy' label on the front pastedown, and 'File Copy' stamps on the recto of the front endpaper, on the half titlepage, and the vecto of the rear endpaper,. Pencil markings on the recto of the front endpaper. Joseph Malaby Dent was a British book publisher best known for the Everyman's library series.
