This work was first issues in 1606-1610 before this second edition. It was translated into Latin in 1630. Fitzherbert was praised for the broad-minded criticism of the lax political principles he professed in those days.

Condition
In a contemporary calf binding. Rebacked, with the original boards preserved. Externally, very smart with light shelfwear to the boards and to the spine. Light rubbing to the head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned. The occasional light spots to pages.
