The first edition of this work.

A very scarce work.

ESTC citation number T123119.

Collated, complete.

An Evangelical study into the Holy Bible, discussing the vast history of the Old and New Testaments. Discussing each book in the Bible in great educational and academic detail.

This work was intended to be used be families and the young and unlearned, written in a plain concise manner, and practising brevity.

Written by John Canne. The British Library state the author as 'John Canne the Younger'. It is unclear whether this is the author's true name, or if it is a pseudonym used to work off the popularity of the Independent minister and printer John Canne, who is believed to have died in 1667.

Prior owner's ink inscription to the head of the title page.
