A collection of the sermons of Hugh Blair.

Blair was a minister of the Church of Scotland. These sermons were delivered as he was a Presbyterian preacher, as he promoted practical Christian morality. Blair was the most popular preacher in Scotland of his time, and these sermons saw a great success due to his popularity. 

Volume I, containing fifteen sermons, is the fourteenth edition of this work.

Volume II, containing fifteen sermons, is the eleventh edition of this work.

Condition

In a full marbled calf binding. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spines, with some loss to the head of the spines. Small crack to the head of the rear joint of Volume I, and to the head of the front joint of Volume II. Front hinges are starting but firm. Bookplate to the front pastedowns. Front endpaper of Volume I may detach. Internally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean with a few light spots.
