Justin Martyr was an early Christian apologist, and is known as being the foremost exponent of the Divine World in the second century. He is considered to be a saint by many churches.
Bookplate to front pastedown of Rev. H. W. Pereira, and previous owner's ink inscription to half title and title page.
Condition
In a calf binding. Externally, worn and rubbed with both boards detached. Loss to most leather of backstrip. Small bookseller's ink stamp to front pastedown. Ink notes to final page. The extremities of some pages have been expertly repaired, not affecting text. Internally, textblock split in three pieces. Pages are age-toned and generally clean with some spotting. The first and last few pages are detached but present. Slight evidence of past worming to margins of some pages.
