Colour Plates, Illustrated, Leather Binding, Uncommon
'Beeton's Annual' was a popular annual publisher for boys in the nineteenth century. Including a colour frontispiece plate and many in-text illustrations. Condition
In half-calf binding with gilt detailing and paper-covered boards. Externally, sound. There is significant wear to the boards, joints, extremities and backstrip, with cracking to joints, lifting and loss to backstrip and prominent tenderness to hinges, resulting in detached but present endpages. Internally, there is tenderness to the binding throughout, though the pages are largely holding firm. Pages are bright and spotted and marked throughout, with loss to the tissue guard of the frontispiece and an ink inscription to title page.
