    Description

    Illustrated, Leather Binding

    Three of 'Cassell's Illustrated Alamanck' bound together, from the years 1860, 1861, and 1862.

    The alamancks contain brief short stories, as well as useful information about banks, the government, and the postal system.

    Illustrated throughout.

    Prior owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown.

    Condition

    In a half morocco binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with some rubbing to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, with a small amount of loss to the spine. Small crack to the tail of the rear joint. Light discolouration to the head of the rear board. A very small amount of loss of leather to the extremities. Front hinge is starting but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean, with just a few spots to the endpapers.
