Illustrated, Leather Binding

With seventeen plates to volume I, twenty-one plates to volume II and twenty nine to volume III. In addition to this, each volume is adorned with vignette illustrations. Collated, complete. Tomlinson was a Fellow of the Royal Society, and a lecturer at King's College School, London. He authored over 50 books, and 100 papers. This work was originally published between 1852 and 1854 in two volumes before the supplement was later published in 1862. This three volume set comprises of all three volumes. A smart copy of this informative study regarding industrial developments.

Condition

In a half morocco binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart with patches of rubbing to the extremities and to the joints. Several light marks to the spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Small loss to the leather on the outer corners of volume I. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd light spots to pages.
