Description
Leather Binding, Rebound
This eight volume library set is an updated and expanded edition of Lucius Ferraris' 'Prompta Bibliotheca', an expansive encyclopaedia of religious knowledge that the author updated twice in his own lifetime. This edition is published by J.P. Migne, a French priest much celebrated for his inexpensive publications of theological works which he hoped would provide a universal library for the Catholic priesthood. This work itself is an impressive and comprehensive exploration of people, places and themes of religious and ecclesial context. Eight volumes. With library plate to front pastedown. Paginated as two numbered columns to each page. Published in Latin. This important work from professor and canonist Lucius Ferraris details everything that readers could have wanted to know about every facet over their faith.
