This work is a pictorial and descriptive tour through creation. It includes astronomy, physical geography and geology. Illustrated throughout, with numerous plates and vignettes. This work discusses the 'history of astronomical discovery' and the 'scenery of the heavens' in addition to physical geography of the earth and its geological structure.
Condition
In a half calf binding with paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart with rubbing to the extremities and to the joints. Further patches of heavy rubbing to the head and tail of spine. Front hinge is slightly strained but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to edges with scattered spotting to pages, heavier to plates.
