Fine Binding, First Edition, Signed Binding, Very Scarce

In a very fine Hatchard's binding. 

This post-graduate thesis examines The London School board and the development of evening education for adults from 1870-1893. It is a fascinating topic, and the author has sourced information from the London City Council to support their study. There are facsimile examples of School Board for London posters advertising their evening classes from the late nineteenth century bound in. 

Loosely inserted is a letter to the author, S Somper, from a colleague whom was sent a draft of this thesis. They note 'The amount of reserach involved makes me shudder - you've certainly earned your M. Ed...' 

This thesis is written by one S. Somper.

Condition

In a fine half calf binding, with cloth covered boards. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
