DETAILS

A profusely illustrated work by Lionel Edwards, being illustrations of his own hunting experiences throughout England.

Published in the same year as the first edition. A profusely illustrated hunting work, depicting the author's experiences of hunting throughout the British countryside. In the publisher's original cloth binding, and held in the original dustwrapper. This work have been written and illustrated by Lionel Edwards. Edwards is a noted British artist who is best known for his depictions of horses. Among numerous books, Edwards illustrations and artwork have featured in numerous publications including Country Life. Illustrated with 15 tipped-in plates throughout. Collated complete. With the previous owners ink inscription to the front endpaper that reads 'Johnnie Love From Nan. June 1934'.

CONDITION

In the publisher's original cloth binding, and held in the unclipped dustwrapper. Externally smart, with minor shelfwear to the spine and extremities. Ink inscription to the front endpaper. Light offsetting to the front and rear endpapers. Dustwrapper is worn, with loss to the head and tail of the spine. The spine and joints are heavily rubbed significantly weakening the front and rear joints. Several small closed tears to the head and tail of the wrap, alongside a large tear to the rear of the wrap, no more than 12cm Both the front and rear fly leaf joints are heavily rubbed resulting in small patches of loss, alongside side tears to the head and tail of both fly leaf joints. In addition there are several small holes to the wrap, most likely worming. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.

Overall Condition: Very Good Indeed in a Good dustwrapper
