Decorative Binding, First Edition
With the bookplate of Fort Augustus Abbey in Scotland. As well as editing, transcribing and preparing performing editions of English lute-songs, Warlock also wrote extensively on the subject in works such as this,The English Ayre. Warlock also wrote reviews for newspapers such as The Daily Mail and The Musical Times. Fort Augustus Abbey, or St Benedict's Abbey was a Benedictine Monastery from the late 19th century until 1998.
Condition
In a decorative cloth binding. Externally very smart with just some slight shelfwear to the extremities. Spine slightly sunned. The odd mark to the boards. Book slightly cocked.Bookplates to front pastedown. Offsetting to endpapers. Pages bright and clean with just some marginal age toning.
