Leather Binding

The 'Albion Edition' of this work, published by Frederick Warne and Co. Compiled and edited by one Mrs Laura Valentine. Laura Valentine was an English writer, best known for her numerous children's books. In a Riviere and Son binding with beautiful gilt stamping to the top and bottom of the boards. This anthology features numerous poems by popular British poets. Poets include Joseph Addison, Matthew Arnold, Richard Barham, Robert Burns, Thomas Gray, Lord Lytton, Thomas Moore, Shakespeare and Shelley.

Condition

In a full morocco binding with gilt stamping to the top and bottom of boards and to spine. Externally, smart with small patches of rubbing to the joints and spine, particularly to the head and tail. A few marks to boards. Binder's stamp to verso of front endpaper, Riviere and Son. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to edges with a few spots to endpapers and the odd spot throughout.
