The Giaour, The Bride of Abydos, and The Corsair

By Lord Byron

1814 - London - John Murray

8.25" by 5.5", (6), 75, (1), 72, xi, 108pp

A collection of three poems by Lord Byron in a calf binding that needs just a little care and attention, and priced accordingly.

Bound in leather with gilt lettering and blindstamped decoration.

The Giaour is the tenth edition. The Bride of Abydos is the seventh edition. The Corsair is the fifth edition.

There is a nameplate to the front pastedown for Sir George Grant Suttie, Bart. The Suttie, later Grant-Suttie Baronetcy, of Balgone in the County of Haddington, is a title in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia.

The text binding is tight and firm. The front board is detached, and the rear board by the cords only, both of which could possibly detach in the post even after our best packing. There is wear to the extremities, including rubbing and edge wear, with loss prominent to the spine, and discolouration. Internally the pages have slight browning and intermittent spots or marks. Overall the condition is good only, with a very good interior.
